These retail Blue Quill Angler Gift Cards can be used either in our historic fly shop or in our online store, where we offer free shipping for most merchandise. They are not valid for guided fly fishing trips, destination travel or training classes.
You can choose to receive a physical card or an online code to be used in our online store. Simply choose the amount that you want and the delivery options listed above.
Please note that gift cards purchased on a weekend will be processed the next business day.
The transaction itself to purchase the gift card was very smooth, and the option to have it sent via email was exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, the checkout system forced me to also select either a mailing address or a pick up in store option. There was no way to continue without making this choice. Though the beginning of checkout process had required the email address for that selection, only a notification was emailed; my son still had to show up in the store to pick it up, he could not use it online.
This was not a dealbreaker, and the store is wonderful and the website is wonderful, but maybe the gift card process itself could be clarified.

The gift card was packaged very nicely and arrived by mail fairly quickly. The sale at 20% off for gift cards allowed us to give our son a greater gift than otherwise would have been possible . We look forward to giving this gift to our son on Christmas Day . Hopefully, we will get to come into the shop to help him pick out his new rod and reel!!
