Andy Burk Czech Nymphing Leader

This leader make Czech nymphing pretty simple, save for a couple of issues. The fluorescent green loop used to attach the leader to the loop at the end of your euro-nymph fly line is VERY difficult to thread through the fly line loop given its size - I had to use a pair of surgical forceps to thread it through. Having the three fly tags all laid out makes attaching the flies a breeze, but be careful when walking with your rod laden with flies. I just spent 3 days on the McCloud and learned very quickly that you need to secure each of the flies to a guide, placing a small piece of cork over each hook to hold them in place until they're ready to use. If you don't, the 3rd fly, attached to a guide with the most tension, will be fine, but the first and second flies will wrap themselves around your line and rod 50 billion times, and you'll spend some time unraveling the loops and knots that occur. That's not a defect of the Burk leader, just a caveat for a 3 fly set up. All in all a great leader.
