The ultimate fly fishing beast-of-burden, the Ledges 650's stiff back-panel and padded waist belt provide all-day comfort and easy rotation. The main pocket easily holds 4 standard fly boxes. Two zippered stretch-mesh pockets up front will handle more boxes or any accessories you need. A hemostat sheath (a favorite feature) also makes stowing and accessing your hemostats painless. A few nice surprises - an integrated net slot for easy storage/access and two zippered pockets on the waist belt.

Very versatile pack, wore it out on the stream and had no trouble, was very convenient access to everything I needed. I am still using a Richardson fly box, and it got in the way of the shoulder strap when spinning the waist pack around to access things, so I will have to switch out of the richardson to using fly boxes, which is fine, and which this was actually designed to do anyway. This is a great replacement of my vest, which was always overloaded with stuff I didn't need and because a vest is so compartmentalized, it went from being an organizational asset to being a memory test, trying to remember which pocket everything was in.
I gave it four stars instead of five because i did not see the purpose of the front slot thing when there is only a couple different options to put in there. I think it may have been better to just have more keepers and zinger locations to hang things, which I found to be lacking. Then they also have more slots on the side of the belt part of the pack. If I find better use for those, and if I get more comfortable with having a new rig after doing it a certain other way for many years, my rating goes to five stars because this is very well made, very convenient and will obviously last for years to come.
